Reunion

On Saturday, the day before the reunion, we took a trip up to Balch Park to visit to the redwood tree dedicated to the pioneering spirit John Jordan.

The trip began at the Exeter Memorial Building. This is the seven car convoy just as it leaves the parking lot.

This is the Jordan Tree. Some of our group are reading the marker, shown above.

We had a picnic near the lake.

The return trip brought us through Yokohl Valley. Here, we stop to take a look at the J.B. and W.F. home sites, the site of Yokohl School, and Flag Hill. We saw turkeys on the trip and a wild boar ran through the field as we watched from the roadway. Wild flowers were abundant.

That evening, we enjoyed a fine dinner at the Wagon Wheel in Visalia.
