On Saturday, the day before the reunion, we took a trip up to Balch Park to visit to the redwood tree dedicated to the pioneering spirit John Jordan. |

The return trip brought us through Yokohl Valley. Here, we stop to take a look at the J.B. and W.F. home sites, the site of Yokohl School, and Flag Hill. We saw turkeys on the trip and a wild boar ran through the field as we watched from the roadway. Wild flowers were abundant. |
