On Saturday, the day before the reunion, we took a trip up to Balch Park to visit to the redwood tree dedicated to the pioneering spirit John Jordan. |
The trip began at the Exeter Memorial Building. This is the seven car convoy just as it leaves the parking lot.
This is

We had a picnic near the lake.
Our view at lunch time. |
The return trip brought us through Yokohl Valley. Here, we stop to take a look at the J.B. and W.F. home sites, the site of Yokohl School, and Flag Hill. We saw turkeys on the trip and a wild boar ran through the field as we watched from the roadway. Wild flowers were abundant. |
That evening, we enjoyed a fine dinner at the Wagon
Wheel in Visalia. |
